Shhh...A secret scene that won't be published...

What you're about to read won't make it into the published book...

One of the hardest things about writing a book is "killing your darlings"...in other words, cutting things you love that just don't serve the plot anymore.

It has to be done to bring you the best book possible. And it hurts.

But that doesn't mean you don't get to see the lost scenes.

You're an insider. Waiting for PULSE with bated breath. So you get exclusive access that others just can't get.

I'm working hard on crafting PULSE to release it this year, 2026. I'm currently 81,000 words into the first draft, and vetting professional editors as we speak. We look forward to editing the manuscript this spring, to bring you the best quality story possible.

In the meantime, you need something to keep you going.

Here is a deleted scene between Aly and Gage that won't make it into the published book. It's rough, not edited professionally, but it gives you an idea of their tense dynamic and a taste of their forbidden love.

Thank you for joining the PULSE universe. Disfrútalo.

Know a friend who would scream over Gage? Feel free to share this secret scene with them, too. It's meant to be shared with all the book girlies of the world.

Cause let's be honest...we all need a little more Gage in our lives. 😏

Nos vemos,

Ember Storme

This place, with all its humming power and chaos, does something to you. As I’ve roamed her winding streets for over a decade, the City has woven a story of superpowers and heartbreak in my mind. PULSE has been quietly growing. Under the metro rails. Between the stones in El Centro. Ghosting in the nuance between English and Spanish–where “ahorita” fails,...
